A favourite coffee spot and party venue with the mums in Wellington!

The Little Teapot in Kilbirnie, Wellington, is owned by two local mums — and the family-friendly atmosphere inside definitely shows they know what makes a good place for parties, coffee and treats with little ones.

As the name would suggest, delicious high tea parties are a specialty and there is also a wonderful play area for parties in the garden. High tea parties include 10 – 11 treats on the plate, unlimited tea or a specialty drink for the children, such as a Foxton Fizz, Spider or milkshake. Children are priced at $16pp and adults $25pp, but menus and prices can be customised for littlies.

Light and spacious, the cafe features a separate playroom with a big dollhouse, books for reading and colouring-in, a chalk board, and even dress-ups. The adjoining outdoor courtyard is great for relaxing in while the children run around safe and secure — it’s green and sheltered too, a little oasis from busy life and particularly pleasant in the summertime.

The Little Teapot’s light lunches and delectable baked goods are perfect for an afternoon with friends. The lemonade scones, macarons, and profiteroles are particularly tasty! For mums, there’s Wellington’s own Revive coffee, along with 18 of Tea Total’s delightful blends, and their now-famous, over-the-top freakshakes are out of this world.

Bookings necessary for high tea, birthdays, and special occasions. Follow The Little Teapot on Facebook for up-to-date specials and events.
