Pea and pesto pasta

Young kids will adore this pea and pesto pasta for lunch or dinner…


  • 1 cup peas, defrosted
  • ½ cup cashew nuts
  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • ½ cup fresh coriander
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast (or use parmesan cheese)
  • Sea salt for taste
  • 2 cups cooked buckwheat pasta or wholemeal pasta
  • 2 courgettes


To make the pesto, blend all ingredients except for the pasta and courgettes. Season to taste.

Cook the pasta according to packet directions.

Using a spiraliser or peeler, turn the courgette into noodles. Mix together the pesto, pasta, and courgette noodles. Heat and serve.
