
This quick and comforting mug cake is perfect when you’re craving something sweet in a hurry. With just 10 minutes of prep and 8 minutes of cooking, you’ll have a warm, gooey dessert ready to enjoy. Serves 1.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons plain (all-purpose) flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon apple purée
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla sugar (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Greek yoghurt
- 1–2 squares dark chocolate
Method
- In an air fryer-safe mug whisk the egg with the milk, then mix in the flour, baking powder, apple purée, vanilla or vanilla sugar, and yoghurt.
- Place the mug in the air fryer and bake for 8 minutes at 200°C.
- Once cooked, add the chocolate squares on top. They will slowly melt.
