INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup salt
- 6 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 3 cups water
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Food colouring
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients in a large saucepan. Blend water and oil together in a bowl and then add to the saucepan. Cook the mixture over a medium heat, stirring constantly until the dough thickens. Add several drops of food colouring until you get the right colour. Cook for about five minutes. Take the playdough out of the saucepan, put it on a cutting board or counter and knead for a few minutes. Add extra flour if it’s too sticky.
Store play dough in an airtight container and it should last up to three months,
