Play in the puddles with these adorable, easy-to-make little boats.
You’ll need:
- Pool noodles
- Kitchen skewers
- Washi tape
- Paper
- A grownup to help with cutting
- Craft knife
- Scissors
- Small figurines/legos
Get a grownup to help you use a craft knife to cut a 4cm piece of pool noodle for the base, and a 10cm piece of kitchen skewer for the mast.
Trace the sail template on to some sturdy paper and decorate with felts, crayons, coloured pencils, or paint. Cut out. Poke a small hole in either end of the sail, as shown in the template.
Thread the kitchen skewer through the holes in the sail, then poke into the pool noodle as shown. Cut a 4cm piece of washi tape and fold over on itself onto the top of the skewer. Then cut a triangle shape – create a flag Use this sail template to get started!
Find a good puddle and sail your boat, or sail it in the bathtub!
